To ferris: If you think NYS's policies constitute "socialism," good riddance.

NY is the biggest anti-business, highest taxed, welfare loving, socialist state in the union. I look forward to getting out ASAP, and I was born and raised here. Every year the budget is late, every year the deficit grows, and every year the state finds new ways to raise "revenue" (taxes and fees) to pay for their socialist programs. NY's economy hit the skids 30 years ago, and the unions and other special interests have no plans to change anything as long as they get paid. The private sector is leaving in exponential numbers every year, and the largest employers are municipalities. NY continues to try to tax its way into prosperity, and it will never work. Get out while you still can.
