DEFINITION
Number of active flight instructors by state. A flight instructor must hold a flight instructor certificate in addition to a pilot certificate.
NOTE: Excludes U.S. military personnel holding civilian certificates who are stationed in a foreign country and pilots in U.S. territories. Per capita figures expressed per 1,000 population.
