This is the count of all American Indian / Alaska Native students enrolled in courses creditable toward a degree or other formal award; in courses that are part of a vocational or occupational program, including those enrolled in off-campus centers; and high school students taking regular college courses for credit. "American Indian / Alaska Native" refers to persons having origins in any of the original peoples of North America and who maintain cultural identification through tribal affiliation or community recognition. Per capita figures expressed per 1,000 population. |
