Plot Display: Linear Linear
Definition: This is the sum of annual public service hours for outlets.

Note: Includes the hours open for public service for centrals, branches, bookmobiles, and books-by-mail only. For each bookmobile, only the hours during which the bookmobile is open to the public are counted. For public library systems (administrative entities) that offer ONLY books-by-mail service, the hours that the outlet is staffed for service are counted. Minor variations in scheduled public service hours are not included; however, extensive hours closed to the public due to natural disasters or other events are excluded even if the staff is scheduled to work.
This is the count of all degrees awarded to Whites. A degree is an award conferred by a college, university, or other postsecondary education institution as official recognition for the successful completion of a program of studies. "White" refers to persons having origins in any of the original peoples of Europe, North Africa, or the Middle East (except those of Hispanic origin).
