DEFINITION: All U.S. public use and private use airports, heliports, STOLports, and seaplane bases. Public use facilities are open to the public with no prior authorization or permission required. Private use facilities are not open to the general public and include medical, law enforcement, corporate, and other such facilities. Per capita figures expressed per 10,000 population.
