DEFINITION: This is the count of all degrees awarded to Whites. A degree is an award conferred by a college, university, or other postsecondary education institution as official recognition for the successful completion of a program of studies. "White" refers to persons having origins in any of the original peoples of Europe, North Africa, or the Middle East (except those of Hispanic origin). Per capita figures expressed per 100 population.
