Zyta Janina Gilowska (born July 7, 1949 in Nowe Miasto Lubawskie) - Polish economist and politician. From January 7 until June 23, 2006, she was the Deputy Prime Minister of Poland and Finance Minister in the government led by Kazimierz Marcinkiewicz and later Jarosław Kaczyński. She resigned over unconfirmed accusations of cooperation with the Soviet-backed secret service. Deputy Zyta Gilowska, presenting the PO proposal, said that Poland's public finance sector gained zl.300 billion, while spending zl.340 billion in 2002.
