Zachary David Alexander Efron(born October 18, 1987) is an American actor. Early life

Efron was born in San Luis Obispo, California to David Efron, an electrical engineer, and Starla Baskett, a former secretary. He is of Jewish descent.[3] Efron has said that he would "flip out" if he got a 'B' and not an 'A' in school; he has also said that he was a class clown in school as well.[1] Starting at the age of eleven, he performed in plays such as Gypsy, Peter Pan, Little Shop of Horrors, The Music Man and Mame.
