Encyclopedia > World Bazaar

The World Bazaar is the strip of shops and eateries along the path to Cinderella Castle at Tokyo Disneyland in the Tokyo Disney Resort, Japan.

Two things distinguish the World Bazaar from the Main Street USA in the original Disneyland, Disneyland Paris, Hong Kong Disneyland and the Magic Kingdom at Walt Disney World Resort. The first is that the World Bazaar is covered by an overhead Victorian conservatory roof, intended to protect the park from erratic Japanese weather. The second is in the name, which is to promote a more international theme at Tokyo Disney Resort, which was The Walt Disney Company's first theme park outside of the United States.
