Walter Crickmer was a English football manager. He started his time at Manchester United in 1919. In 1931, he started his first stint with the club. In 1932, Scott Duncan took over the reigns from Walter. When Scott left in 1937, Walter took the club over for the second time. Until Matt Busby came in in 1945, Walter started the youth policy of the team along with club owner James W. Gibson. Walter would die in the Munich Air Disaster on February 6, 1958.
