At the beach, Plankton is devising another diabolical scheme. He is planning to turn the beach into the future site of a mega-sized Chum Bucket. However, he needs everyone to leave the beach. No-one listens to him, and accidentally stomp all over him. Plankton decides to trick SpongeBob into being "assertive" in order to get the things that he (Plankton) wants. At first it doesn't work so well, as Spongebob is naturally kind and naive. But then he does listen to Plankton and with rude behavior such as stealing everyone's hot dogs and popping a volleyball, everyone leaves the beach. Spongebob is upset by this and then discovers that Plankton was using him. So he becomes "aggressively nice" by giving back everyone's hot dogs and turning into a volleyball himself. Plankton leaves the beach digusted by the cuteness of it all.

  • Plankton: Don't let that guy sit on you! Be assertive!
SpongeBob: (Pokes finger into fish's pocket) Bee-beep!
Plankton: Not insertive!
  • Plankton: You just let people step all over you. You're just like stairs.
  • SpongeBob: Excuse me...You are sitting on my body, which is also my face.
  • Plankton: I guess you don't have what it takes to be a stand up guy.
SpongeBob: Well, what about airline food?
Plankton: Huh?
SpongeBob: Airline food! My gosh, what is up with that stuff? Thank you, good night! (rimshot) See, I can be a stand-up guy!
  • Plankton: "Is that an all over tan?"
SpongeBob: "Well not all of me."

  • In this episode, SpongeBob pops a volleyball with his bare hands just by squeezing it. Yet, in various other episodes, he's incapable of lifting even the lightest of objects, such as stuffed animals being used as weights.
