A wadi (Arabic: وادي wādī) is traditionally a valley. In some cases it can refer to a dry riverbed that contains water only during times of heavy rain. Wadis are the streams in desert environment and generally dried all over the year except after a rain. The desert environment is characterized by a sudden but heavy rain. As rainfall occurs near hill ranges….wadi are prefer to form near a hilly terrine. The deposition of wadi is rapid because the sudden loss of the velocity and absorption of water under ground. Fluvial activity in desert environment is also characterized by the flash flood.
