WXXA is the call letters for a television station broadcasting on UHF channel 23 in Albany, New York. Its transmitter is located in the Helderberg Mountains in Albany County, New York.


WXXA signed on the air in 1982, and became an affiliate of the fledgling Fox network sometime during the late 1980s.


WXXA is currently owned by Clear Channel Communications. The station produces the only prime time newscast in the Capital District, which has been on the air since 1996.
