The entrance front

The Wurzburg Residenz is a palace in Wurzburg, Germany. It was designed by the leading Baroque architect Balthasar Neumann to a commission from Archbishop of Wurzburg Johann Philip von Schönborn and Philipp Franz von Schönborn (two prince bishops) in 1720 and was completed in 1744. The Venetian painter Giovanni Battista Tiepolo, assisted by his son, Domenico, painted frescos in the building. The most spectacular interiors include the grand staircase, the chapel and the grand salon, and was indeed dubbed the "nicest parsonage in Europe" by Napoleon.
