The Vedeneyev M14P is a nine cylinder radial, four-stroke, air cooled petrol engine. The induction system uses a gear driven supercharger and a carburettor of automatic mixture type. Power is transmitted to the propeller via a reduction gearbox. Its design dates from the 1930s. It is a development of Ivchenko AI-14 engine. The carburetor (or carburettor, carb for short) is a device which mixes air and fuel for an internal_combustion engine. ...
