As with many of their songs, Avenged Sevenfold brings forth more notions from the Bible in Trashed and Scattered. Although more subtle, the song can be interpreted to the inner turmoil of a person constantly rejecting the influence of the Devil. Such clues are given such as when M. Shadows writes phrases such as "Goddamn Imposter", "I'll never join your side" and "I'll never let you seize control". In all of these M. Shadows is most likely referring to the Devil or some other form of temptation, refusing to buckle under the influence. The song is also littered with various catch phrases taken from the book of revelations, such as "first to cast a stone", "deceitful liar", and even the title "Trashed and Scattered". Although the song does use certain phrases and stories taken from the Bible, the members of A7X are not religious in any way. Avenged Sevenfold is an American metal/hard rock band. ...
