Melissa (Missy) Palmer, Mike Chapman's wife, voices the character Marzipan in the Homestar Runner online cartoon series. She and Mike Chapman were married on February 28, 2004; she was his girlfriend during earlier portions of the Homestar Runner history. In addition to her contributions to Homestar Runner, Palmer works in the film industry as a producer and assistant director. In the beginning of the Homestar Runner cartoons, she was required to record her voice under a bedsheet to eliminate background noise. Her voice is not enhanced for the website. Palmer has stated that Marzipan is largely based on her. The Brothers Chaps announced at Flashforward 2006 that Missy Palmer was pregnant.
