Taman Melawati is a self-contained town within the Malaysian capital, Kuala Lumpur. It is administrated by Majlis Perbandaran Ampang Jaya (MPAJ). Many local celebrities and politicians are known to reside here. The International School of Kuala Lumpur (Elementary Campus) and the Malaysian Institute of Art (MIA) are located in this town. There is also a private hospital, Damai Service Hospital, and a clubhouse, kklub, in this town. Zoo Negara, the national zoo, is located nearby.
