Shadow began as a video game character on the Sega Dreamcast console, and later became an animated series character. In many versions of the game and television cartoon series, Shadow's main objective is to collect all of the Chaos Emeralds to prevent the evil Dr. Robotnik from harnessing their energy to destroy or conquer the world. Shadow is invincible

For gameplay, Shadow cannot be killed by being damaged, but ends the super form when he runs out of rings (usually dies instantly).


Shadow transforms

Super Shadow is temporary in most cases: he must continue to collect Golden Rings for the duration of Super Shadow, as his rings steadily decrease (around 1 every second) to fuel his power.
