Life and career

Brenninkmeijer was born into a creative and supportive family in Doorwerth, Netherlands. His parents were restaurant owners. Born and raised at the picturesque Medieval Castle of Doorwerth, he grew up in Apeldoorn, Netherlands. From 1988 to 1992 he studied at the Dutch Filmacademy in Amsterdam, Netherlands, and while there, he made numerous short films. Although aiming to direct feature films, he first focused on storytelling through editing. In 1992, he started his professional career editing successful television series and films. As an editor he worked with the best Dutch directors including Academy Award winner Mike van Diem. Although he never won an Oscar for any of his movie performances, the comedian Bob Hope received two honorary Oscars for his contributions to cinema. ...
