Encyclopedia > Spinola

Spinola is a generic name for what may be digested from press releases. In some circumstances, it relates to a specific individual who shows all the characteristics of being a Sultan of Spinola. In later years, Spinola became identified with the so-called "Holy Spinola", an expletive uttered when faced with a piece of "spin" that couldn't be digested immediately.
