Slope County's argument, in effect, would prohibit ownership by a corporation of land usable in a corporation's business if there were means of securing possession or use of the property other than through ownership.
Acceptance of Slope County's argument by this court would place an interpretation of the word "necessity" in accordance with exacting degrees such as "absolute," "strict," or "indispensable," instead of the more relaxed degree of reasonableness, as called for by the language of the statute.
