Sithonia is a Greek peninsula located south of the cental part of Chalkidikí which is also in the southcentral part of the Chalkidikí peninsula. The peninsula is located SE of Thessaloniki, S of Polygyros and SW of Kavala. The Kassandra peninsula lies to the west. Gulfs that surround the peninsula are the Singitic Gulf to the west and the Toronean Gulf to the east. One of the famous beach and a 10 to 15 story hotel surrounded by forests and a mountain is Porto Karras. Villages cover the peninsula mainly in the central and the southern portions.
