Jay and Silent Bob are the two fictional characters created by actor-writer-director Kevin Smith (who plays Silent Bob) and appearing in several of his movies. Jay is portrayed by actor Jason Mewes as an oversexed, overdrugged, hyper long-hair. Silent Bob is his best friend, who rarely says anything, but when he does, says it eloquently.

The two characters have appeared in the following movies:

and also an animated television series of Clerks. as well as several episodes of the Canadian teen drama, Degrassi: The Next Generation broadcast in 2005.
