Shota Arveladze began his soccer career with Georgian local side, FC Martve Tblisi, scoring 33 goals in the 1990 season and moving on to FC Iberia Tbilisi, soon renamed- FC Dinamo Tbilisi who were clinching the Georgian championship title every year in the 1990s.
Shota Arveladze’s twenty-five goals in his first season helped Ajax regain the Dutch title, and Arveladze continued to impress the Ajax fans until a 2001, when he switched to Rangers FC on a Ј2 million deal, managing 17 goals in the remainder of 2001/02.
