The gesture refers to the act of inserting the index and middle fingers into a vagina and the little finger into the anus. Because of its explicit sexual connotation, the shocker is sometimes considered vulgar. Occasionally, the thumb may be positioned so that it may stimulate the clitoris. There are several variations on the shocker, including the double wide (both hands clasped with shocker fingers extended), the reverse shocker (one in the pink, two in the stink, etc.) and the reverse double wide.
