Sedano's Supermarket is a chain of supermarket stores, in business since 1962, across South Florida.The supermarket chain is owned by the cuban Sedano's family. 90% of Sedano's customer's come are Cubans who have fled from communist Cuba.


Sedano's has a large presence of Hispanic heritage mostly in its goods due to its majority of Hispanic customers. Additionally, because of the variety of foods offered at Sedano's, the Asian and Indian customers are equally prevalent. The stores, which carry everything from the mundane panela redonda (evaporated cane juice, pressed into round bricks) and maseca (corn flour) to the more exotic, such as chayote squash and corn husks.
