Scottsbluff Senior High Sports

Scottsbluff High School and Gering High School (Gering, Nebraska) are notorious for the two school's decades-old-rivalry in most all sports, especially football. The cross-town game between the two football teams has become one of the biggest events of the school year. Scottsbluff High School also has one of the best cross country boys teams in Class B in the state of Nebraska. The team now has 10 state titles, tied for first in Class B. More recently, 3 cross country titles were won in successive years in 2003, 2004, and 2005. In 2004 and 2005, runner Mike McKinney finished second overall. [citation needed]
