The San Marinese lira (plural lire) was the official unit of San Marino. It was on par to the Italian lira.

Italian lira notes and coins were legal tender in San Marino, but specific San Marinese coins were minted in Rome, being legal tender in all Italy, as well as the Vatican City.

San Marino has switched to the euro like Italy. As with old San Marino lira coins, this country has its own set of euro coins. The euro (EUR or €) is the currency of 12 European Union (EU) member states - Austria, Belgium, Finland, France, Germany, Greece, Ireland, Italy, Luxembourg, Netherlands, Portugal, and Spain - four European microstates - Andorra, Monaco, San Marino and the Vatican City - Montenegro and Kosovo, as well as various EU institutions. ...
