Sailor Chi
Sailor Chi

Sailor Chi is a character from the Sailor Moon Stars series that appeared only in the manga. She is sometimes referred to as Sailor X, as the Greek letter chi looks like an X, but there is no Sailor X. Along with her partner and twin, Sailor Phi, Chi was a minion of Sailor Galaxia. The pair were known as the Starseed Gardeners, or the Garden Crystal Senshi (soldiers). Chi met her end at the hands of Sailor Moon after stabbing Princess Kakyuu (in senshi form at the time) in the back for having been the reason her twin died. Appearance

Sailor Chi has long blond hair and red eyes, and tends to dress in red in a similar fashion to her partner, Phi. She is also seen with her staff with the sun symbol on top of it, something that is very close to Galaxia.

Relationship to Galaxia

Sailor Chi, along with her twin, was obviously the most trusted of Sailor Galaxia's minions, or else she would not have placed them so close to the Garden Crystal around her palace at Zero Star Sagittarius. They also wear their hair in a similar fashion to their "Golden Queen".

Relationship to Other Villains

Phi and Chi were responsible for the deaths of Sailor Lethe and Sailor Mnemosyne, ending their lives with energy blasts from their staffs. It is also to be assumed that they were something like leaders to the other minions of Galaxia (Sailor Lethe, Sailor Mnemosyne, Sailor Iron Mouse, Sailor Aluminum Siren, Sailor Lead Crow, Sailor Tin Nyanko, and Sailor Heavy Metal Papillon) as they are quite often seen apologizing for their failures. Duty

It was the duty of these two minions to watch over the starseeds that Galaxia had captured during her conquests. The starseeds were kept around Galaxia's palace.

Powers

Chi's power is never mentioned in the manga, though it can be assumed that it is similar to that of her twin, Phi.

Sailor Stars Dramas

Phi and Chi both appeared in all four of the Sailor Moon Sailor Stars dramas, along with a third: Sailor Theta. In the first drama (Summer 1996), they had originally started out as servants of a villain known as McFly. They were known as Shadow Mantis (Sailor Phi), Shadow Bug (Sailor Chi), and Shadow Bee (Sailor Theta). Obviously, the bug idea didn't catch on and by the time of the second drama (Winter 1997), they had become Sailor Chi, Sailor Phi, and Sailor Theta.
