Lestovka or vervitsa (Russian: лестовка) is a special type of prayer rope sometimes referred as prayer beads made of leather used by Russian Old Believers, currently in use by Russian Orthodox Oldritualist Church.
Russian Old Believers use special prayer rope made of leather, called lestovka (from Slavic Lestvitsa - ladder), also called Vervitsa (from verv- rope).
Lestovka-type prayer ropes were used by early Christians, but only Old Belivers use them today, Russian Orthodox Church use usual prayer beads.
