Robert Huntington Adams (1792 - July 2, 1830) was a United States Senator from Mississippi. Born in Rockbridge County, Virginia, he was apprenticed to the cooper's trade, and in 1806 graduated from Washington College (now Washington and Lee University) at Lexington, Virginia. He studied law, was admitted to the bar, and commenced practice in Knoxville, Tennessee. He moved to Natchez, Mississippi in 1819, and in 1828 was a member of the Mississippi House of Representatives. He was elected as a Jacksonian to the U.S. Senate to fill the vacancy caused by the death of Thomas B. Reed and served from January 6, 1830, until his death in Natchez, Mississippi on July 2, 1830.
