However, when she is printing her essay about making break and lunch more efficient, she gets distracted and accidentally prints her journal. It turns out that her essay wins a contest and gets published in the Education Times. She becomes a celebrity and her essay its on its way to becoming a national bestseller. Things become good for her. Soon, she loses her friends (except for Connor), nobody speaks to her and her parents decide to sell the pizza parlor.

Then at the Deep Sea dance held at their school, she makes up with her friends, after discovering that Marco copied off of Connor for poetry; the only reason she liked him. She regains the school's trust, she gets her friends back, starts dating Connor, and even saves the pizza parlor.
