Psychotronics is a little-known study of the relationship between matter, energy, and consciousness.

The field is not recognized by mainstream science, and is in part populated by paranormal claims and supernatural theories (e.g. "remote seduction"). It is also related to claims by Julianne Mckinney (http://www.xs4all.nl/~sm4csi/nwo/MindControl/Microwave.Harassment.And.Mind-Control.Experimentation.htm) et al. that the United States has covertly developed psychotronic weapons for mass mind control that affect minds by altering the electrical signals of the brain with a direct energy 'microwave' beam.

The psychotron itself is a mind-probe device in the science-fiction novel Dreadful Sanctuary (ISBN 0749300736), written by Eric Frank Russell in 1948.
