Souichi Tomoe (Tomoe Sōichi) is a fictional villain in the anime series Sailor Moon and a classic but handsome white-haired mad scientist. He is outright malevolent in the manga, but like many of the story's villains, he is considered to be more interesting (and sympathetically portrayed) in the anime. Actually possessed by an extradimensional 'demon' in a lab accident, in exchange for the reanimation of his daughter, Hotaru Tomoe, who died in the accident, he displays bizarre, but hilarously overdramatic mannerisms, and these are often a source of unexpected humor. It is never specified whether these are mannerisms of the demon or repressed aspects of his personality since he does not appear much at all after the main story arc, although his normal personality does peek out at times.
