While the chain is considerd "Fast Food" they are well known for holding higher standard of quality.


For a time some locations in central Florida were branded "TropiGrill" but these have since been renamed Pollo Tropical.


History

The first Pollo Tropical restaurant opened in November 1988 in Miami.
