Although identification cards take a number of popular forms, there are two of particular interest in connection with the present invention.
The compartment is configured to surround substantially the entire edge perimeter of the chip in close proximity thereto, while accommodating the timing-layer piece and a quantity of the developing fluid over at least one face of the film chip without exceeding the thickness of the core.
