Encyclopedia > Paradron

Paradron was a fictional planet in the Transformers cartoon series. Appearing in the episode "Fight or Flee", Paradron was a colony world that closely resembled the Transformer homeworld of Cybertron. The planet was hidden behind a space vortex, and was settled by pacifist Autobots and they were led by Autobot triple changer Sandstorm seeking to escape the wars that plagued Cybertron. Unfortunately, the planet was discovered by Cyclonus and Scourge of the Decepticons. They informed Galvatron that the planet had a large resource of energy. Galvatron and the other Decepticons soon rejoined with Cyclonus and Scourge and then they took control of the planet and enslaved all Autobots except for Sandstorm who managed to escape but his ship's systems began to malfunction and he radioed for help. The Autobots heard it and later on Cybertron Sandstorm told them about Paradron. Rodimus Prime gave the order to put together a strike force but Blurr told them that the Decepticons knew that Sandstorm had escaped and they probably had a trap prepared, but they had a decoy ship and they fooled the Decepticons. Later, the Autobots freed the Paradronians and Sandstorm managed to convice them to fight back. Rodimus Prime finally gave the order to destroy the planet but Sandstorm didn't want to do it but Rodimus told him if the Decepticons got the planet every planet in the universe would be vulnerable Ultra Magnus and Sandstorm planted a bomb in the planet's energon core but Galvatron tried to stop them from escaping but they got away anyway Galvatron called them cowards but Galvatron knew that Ultra Magnus was not a coward he realised that something was wrong. He then ordered all Decepticons to abandon the planet. The Autobots was on a nearby asteroid and saw the Decepticons retreat and then Paradron was obliterated. And so Paradron no longer existed. Bio: Paradron was the planet in which the Autobot triple-changer, Sandstorm and his race of Autobots lived for millions of years after the great war between the Autobots and Decepticons began on Cybertron.
Cause of Death: Eventually, Paradron was discovered by Galvatron and the Decepticons.
The Autobots were losing the fight against the Decepticons, so instead of losing Paradron to the Decepticons and risking them using the planet to conquer the universe, Rodimus Prime ordered Ultra Magnus and Sandstrom to plant explosives in the planet's energon core and destroy the planet.
