The 25 Don Mills heads north on Pape, turns on to Overlea and then continues north up Don Mills. It is the bus to take to the Ontario Science Centre from Pape station (the 34 Eglinton East bus from the Eglinton subway station also goes by there). The 25 bus continues north past Eglinton across major cross-streets such as Lawrence, York Mills, Sheppard (including a stop at the Don Mills subway station) and Finch before looping at Steeles. The 25D continues past this point into Markham, crossing such major streets as John, Commerce Valley and Highway 7 prior to looping where East Beaver Creek meets 16th Avenue. The 25D is a double-fare bus, and passengers who board the bus prior to Steeles can expect to pay a second fare as they exit the bus heading north, or pay double-fare immediately upon entering the bus if heading south past Steeles. TTC workers injured in fire at Pape station
Five TTC workers were taken to hospital early this morning after a minor explosion and electrical fire on board a maintenance car at the Pape subway station.
The transit workers were on their way to the St. Patrick station to remove asbestos, when the explosion shook the subway car and brought it to a sudden stop around 1:50 a.m., a transit spokesperson said this morning.
