Encyclopedia > Page boy

The Page Boy is a hair style named after a drawing of a woman dressed as an English page boy. It involved straight hair hanging to below the ear where it turned under. Often there were bangs in the front. In the early 1950s, the New York City hairdresser M. Lewis popularized this style.

A page boy flip has the bottom reversed to curl outward.
