The United States Australian Football League (also known informally as the USAFL or US Footy) is an Australian rules football league that was conceived in 1996 and organized in 1997. Metro Footy

The USAFL has embraced Metro Footy – a scaled down version of footy for American-sized fields with fewer players. Many US Footy clubs are fed by several Metro Footy sides and selected players represent at the Nationals. Metro Footy has also enabled the USAFL to stage exhibition matches at Arena Football League games. Metro Footy (or Metro Rules Footy) - a modified version of Australian rules football rules played on gridiron football fields in North American cities (such as Los Angeles, Detroit, Chicago and New York) where there arent grounds large enough to hold true Australian Rules matches. ... US Footy is responsible for the co-ordination of the National Team, the Revolution. The team plays in international tournaments and exhibition matches against other countries. Revolution players are selected from the best US-born players from the club teams across the country. USAFL National Championships

US Footy co-ordinates the USAFL National Championships, a large event featuring competition between US Footy affiliated clubs for the national title. The Denver Bulldogs have been the most successful side at the US Nationals, winning their 4th straight championship in 2005.


Women's Division

Since 2005, the nationals have included a Women's Footy division, with the inaugural title won by the Atlanta Lady Kookaburras. Womens Aussie Rules is a fast growing sport played in Australia, United States, Papua New Guinea and Japan. ...
