The NHK Broadcasting Centre, is located in Jinnan, in Shibuya ward in South-Western metropolitan Tokyo. The Centre is the home for the public broadcaster, NHK. It includes studios and offices, as well as shops and the popular Studio Park, which is a popular attraction for schoolchildren and tourists.
Located within the same complex is the NHK Hall, in which performances are regularly held and often televised.
NHK also hosts a number of international broadcasters at the centre, including South Korea's KBS, China's CCTV, America's ABC, and the Australian ABC.
A number of NHK related companies have offices in building in nearby streets.

NHK was founded in 1926, modelled on the BBC radio company of the United Kingdom.
The recent rash of scandals involving NHK executives found to be misusing and embezzling funds among other things, has not helped their cause, and the number of refusals across the country has spiked dramatically with each new scandal coming to light.(see television license)
NHK is one of the few international broadcasters to maintain reporting bureaus in Afghanistan and Iraq.
