Uninhabited Planet Survive! (無人惑星サヴァイヴ, Mujin Wakusei Survive!, sometimes mistranslated as Survival) is an anime series in Japan on NHK. Eguchi Hisashi is the character designer and it is produced by Telecom Anime and Madhouse Production.



Mujin Wakusei takes place in the 22nd century, when mankind lives in space colonies and is about 7 students (and a robot cat) who were travelling with their class to a terraforming colony on a field trip. They get separated from their space ship during a gravity storm and land on an uninhabited planet and have to make do with what they have to survive.


She lost both parents when she was young. In the opening scene, we see when her father died in the Martian colony explosion. Chako is her robot pet cat.

Luna's robot pet cat who acts somewhat spoiled.
  • Shaara (Kinoshita Nahoko)
A rather shy girl who Luna becomes friends with when she transfers into the school.
  • Menori (Andou Mabuki)
Class president of the school where Luna transfers. She plays the violin.
Son of a wealthy company owner. He is spoiled and selfish.
  • Bell (Takase Akimitsu)
Even though he is kind, he is pressured into doing whatever Howard asks because his father works for Howard's father and Howard threatens to have his father fire Bell's father.
His past is a mystery and he keeps to himself. He is self-reliant.
He is a genius in Luna's class. He was skipped ahead 2 years due to his high grades, and is a mechanical genius.
  • Adam (Okushima Kazumi)
He is a young space alien that they find in cryogenic suspension in some ruins on the island.
  • Porte (Tsukada Masaaki)
Old enough to be the grandfather of the main cast, he is the mechanic of the space transport Orion.
