According to the United States Census Bureau, the town has a total area of 1.2 km˛ (0.5 mi˛). 1.2 km˛ (0.5 mi˛) of it is land and none of it is covered by water.


As of the census2 of 2000, there are 259 people, 111 households, and 71 families residing in the town. The population density is 208.3/km˛ (534.1/mi˛). There are 141 housing units at an average density of 113.4/km˛ (290.8/mi˛). The racial makeup of the town is 96.91% White, 0.00% African American, 0.00% Native American, 0.00% Asian, 0.00% Pacific Islander, 1.93% from other races, and 1.16% from two or more races. 0.77% of the population are Hispanic or Latino of any race.

There are 111 households out of which 23.4% have children under the age of 18 living with them, 58.6% are married couples living together, 4.5% have a female householder with no husband present, and 36.0% are non-families. 31.5% of all households are made up of individuals and 15.3% have someone living alone who is 65 years of age or older. The average household size is 2.33 and the average family size is 2.96.

In the town the population is spread out with 18.5% under the age of 18, 7.3% from 18 to 24, 30.1% from 25 to 44, 25.1% from 45 to 64, and 18.9% who are 65 years of age or older. The median age is 42 years. For every 100 females there are 99.2 males. For every 100 females age 18 and over, there are 101.0 males.

The median income for a household in the town is $36,932, and the median income for a family is $45,417. Males have a median income of $29,821 versus $22,000 for females. The per capita income for the town is $21,250. 1.6% of the population and 0.0% of families are below the poverty line. Out of the total population, 0.0% of those under the age of 18 and 3.8% of those 65 and older are living below the poverty line.
