The McGill Faculty of Education services both international and Canadian students. In this faculty, two undergraduate degrees can be attained, the B. Ed Kindergarten and Elementary, and the B.Ed Secondary. The B. Ed Secondary is a five-year program taken in conjunction with a concentration such as "English" (which is in the faculty of Arts) or "Chemistry" (which is in the faculty of Sciences.) With completion of the Bachelor's program, students are prepared for Quebec's teacher certification exam. A passing score on this exam qualifies a student to be a teacher in Quebec. In addition, McGill's Education faculty can inform students of the requirements for teacher education in other provinces and internationally, meaning that a McGill student is truly prepared to educate around the world.
The McGill Faculty of Education also has an acclerated program for students who have already attained a Bachelor's degree in a specific field and are now looking to teach.
The Education building is located on the top of the McTavish street, a slight trek from the main campus. It has facilities such as a computer lab, a library, and a cafeteria.
