Graduation speech strikes chord with students, families, friends (369 words)
Connolly walked off the stage to a standing ovation from Burke's Class of 2005 and their friends and families yesterday after he delivered his 10-minute speech at Aquinas Hall on the campus of Mount Saint Mary College.
Connolly was sharp, insightful and reflective, as engaging as the keynote speaker at a major university's graduation.
Connolly described events that shaped him and his classmates during their four years at Burke, including the terrorist attack of Sept. 11 during their first days as freshmen and the tragic death of classmate Kevin Fahy last August.
