There were 24,740 housing units at an average density of 1,084.2/km² (2,808.9/mi²). The racial makeup of the city was 78.80% White, 11.63% African American or Black, 0.26% Native American, 2.78% Asian, 0.06% Pacific Islander, 2.87% from other races, and 3.61% from two or more races.
