Movie Summary

A stage actress, Julia wants to use her star sapphire for her upcoming play and asks for Kogoro's help to protect a it after showing Kogoro a letter from Kaitou Kid (thief). On the day of the theft, Kaitou Kid appears at the theatre dressing up as Shinichi but end up fleeing in the end without the jewel. To thank them, Julie invites Kogoro and everyone to Sapporo, and all travel on an airplane to get there. In the air, one of the show actor, Shitou, who was suppose to be somewhere else joins them as well as Ran's mother, Eri. Julia meets with the captains of the plane and everyone kisses her hand because of the sapphire she wears. Julia later dies from being poisoned from licking her fingers after eatting chocolate, which is later found done by her make-up artist.

Bigger scheme, the captains were poisoned also from Julia and were not able to pilot the plane, so Shitou agrees to take over because he took courses, and appoints Conan to help him. Conan figures out that he is Kaidou kid because no one normal will let an elementary school kid pilot a plane. The plane fuel is running low so Conan picked a random site to land. Ran and sonoko eventually take over piloting the plane while Kaitou kid escapes by jumping off the plane and Conan has to "go to the bathroom." Conan then switches over to Shin'chi's voice and guides Ran for landing the plane. Ran tells Shin'chi she love him but ends the moment by telling Conan that she suddenly see lights at the site. Turns out, Kaitou Kid went near the police and uses police cars (because this policeman is obsessed with catching him) as guiding lights to land the plane. All went well, and the movie ends with Ran talking to Shin'chi over the phone again arguing about silly things.
