Country code +388 is used for the "European Telephone Numbering Space." The intent is to allow companies, primarily within the European Union, to have a single number with a European identity, rather than separate national numbers in the various countries in which they do business.
Country code +881 is used for satellite mobile phones, with the next digit identifying the operator: 0 or 1 is reserved for ICO Global Communications; 2 or 3 is Ellipso; 6 or 7 is Iridium; and 8 or 9 is Globalstar.
