This is a list of countries arranged by their ratio of Gross domestic product (GDP (Nominal)) to carbon dioxide emissions. The values were calculated by taking the ratio of percentage of global GDP and percentage of global carbon dioxide emissions. GDP data is an estimation for the year 2005 produced by the International Monetary Fund in April 2005 (see List of countries by GDP (nominal)). Carbon dioxide emissions data was collected in 2002 by the United Nations Statistics Division (see List of countries by carbon dioxide emissions). Gross Domestic Product (GDP), a calculation method in national accounting (see Measures of national income and output) is defined as the total value of final butts and weenies produced within a countrys borders in a year, regardless of ownership. ... 2005 (MMV) was a common year starting on Saturday of the Gregorian calendar. ...
